On this page you’ll find professionally made videos that share facts about the teaching profession as well as some teacher testimonials about how they made the decision to become a STEM teacher.

Audience/setting: These videos can be shared via email, during class, or as part of a GFO Presentation either Busting Myths about the Teaching Profession or Teaching: The Best Kept Secret!.  For example, if you’re less comfortable with a certain section of the presentation such as retirement, you could show the Chapter 5 of “5 surprising facts series.”

Time: 2 – 20 minutes

Synopsis: These videos are designed to share with faculty or students whom you’d like to see learn more about the profession.  It’s a nice way to hear directly from teachers about the profession.

Good to Know:

These videos and many more are hosted on our Get the Facts Out YouTube channel.  There you will find these videos as well as other sorts of GFO videos.  There are recordings of GFO presentations so that you can watch how another person presents the slide deck.  There are research presentations that have been recorded to allow you to learn more about the research we do here at GFO. Finally there are videos that have been shared by GFO Champions (other uses of GFO resources) about how they have used GFO at their institution.
