Community Listserv, LinkedIn, Newsletters, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube!
Hi GFO Community!
We have been using a range of ways to build GFO Community Channels where you can learn about GFO, connect with each other, and connect with GFO Central. Below is a full list of where and how we are using various communication channels. Please connect in all the places that make sense for your work. We can't wait to see you there!
Community Listserv:
What's here? The GFO Listserv is housed on the Google Groups platform and is designed to connect GFO users and community members from an array of different disciplines who are working to recruit and retain teachers. Feel free to use this listserv to post questions about GFO resources, how to use GFO resources, share your recruitment efforts using GFO resources, or share job postings or opportunities you think applicable to the community. GFO Central uses this Listserv to announce new resources, updates to existing resources, and pass along useful information. Sometimes these emails will go to your spam, so it is agood idea to make sure it is whitelisted, the email address is community@getthefactsout.org. Note: replying to an email sent to the listserv will send your reply to the entire community.
What's here? We have just started using LinkedIn by creating both a GFO (company) page and a GFO group. You can see updates, memes and jokes for teachers, "Did You Know" helpful facts to share GFO research, and announcements about upcoming events.
What's here? We've hosted a Facebook group for several years and currently have about 350 members. You can find memes and jokes for teachers, "Did You Know" helpful facts to share GFO research, and announcements about upcoming events on this group. We also have been advised to have a GFO Facebook page. You are welcome to follow either or both!
